Dr. Ballenger received her Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.  she received her M.D. in 1995 from UNC-Chapel Hill where she graduated with honors, and completed her Residency in Radiation Oncology in December 2000.  Dr. Ballenger is a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist by the American Board of Radiology.
